My Dream...

She ran through the woods, her paws whispering over the leaves coating the forest floor, barely disturbing the leaves. It was dark, but the moon was full, and its light through the trees was more than enough for her to see by: her surrounds were almost as clear as most would find them during the day. She dodged the trees and leapt to and from boulders, leaving as little trail as possible, it was her way. The clean smell of the forest filled her lungs. The wind raised her fur on her right, and she bore round to the left. Her nose caught the scent of water, of clean water, and she turned toward it. Soon her ears could make out the sound of the stream flowing over rocks and gurgling in the little pools and eddies that they formed. Sure enough, the surface of the water was turbulent. Turning upstream, her paws were wet and cold, but she still ran in the stream, hiding her scent as far as possible. She ran between two boulders and found herself in a dead end, standing in a pool of churning water to which a powerful stream of water fell constantly from above. She turned, her golden eyes staring deeply into the forest from which she had come from...Her soft fur almost glowing with a luminance of its own and she throws back her head and howls.....
